TherOina №10: Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) • Movie Under The Stars
Saturday, 5 September · 15:00 – 21:00
A harmonica plays. Three gunmen wait at a railway station. The wind picks up. Sergio Leone's elegiac Western — the one where he stopped making homages and started making myth — opens with what may be the greatest sequence in any film, full stop. Henry Fonda's blue eyes have never looked colder. Ennio Morricone's score has never reached higher. At nearly three hours, it asks for your patience and rewards it many times over. Sit back. The night is long.
Screened in the original language with Greek subtitles, outdoors under the stars at Domaine Florian. Seating is at tables throughout the evening for wine and food during the film. Domaine Experience guests: please arrive 45 minutes before the screening for your cellar and vineyard tour. In case of bad weather, all guests will be notified by 18:30 on the day of the screening as to whether the screening will take place or be cancelled. Cancelled screenings are fully refunded.
