Commis Chef — Kitchen Assistant

Domaine Florian Winery is a winery and restaurant in Trilofos, just 15 minutes from Kalamaria. We host live music every Friday, outdoor cinema during the summer months, food and wine pairing evenings, weddings, corporate events, and much more. Our kitchen, led by Head Chef Nikos Papachristodoulou, combines seasonal cooking with the world of wine.

The Role

We are looking for a Commis Chef to work alongside our Head Chef, both during preparation (mise en place) and throughout service. You will learn knife skills, sauce making, plating, and the rhythm of a professional kitchen. At the same time, you will keep the kitchen and utensils clean and support the Chef in any way needed.

This is a hands-on position and a real opportunity to be trained directly by a Chef who is committed to passing on his craft. It is an ideal role for someone who wants to seriously begin a career in gastronomy.

Working Hours

• Wednesday: kitchen prep day — 10:00 – 18:00

• Thursday: 16:00 – 24:00 (prep, service 19:00–23:00, wrap-up)

• Friday: 16:00 – 00:30 (prep, service 19:00–23:30, wrap-up)

• Saturday: 16:00 – 00:00 (prep, service 19:00–23:30, wrap-up — including prep for Sunday)

• Sunday: 11:00 – 18:00 (final prep, service 12:00–17:00, wrap-up)

• Monday & Tuesday: days off

The legally required 11-hour rest period between shifts is fully respected. Hours may be adjusted around private events and special evenings, always within the limits of labor law.

Compensation & Conditions

• Full-time employment at the legal Greek minimum wage

• Legal employment with full social security (EFKA) coverage

• All overtime paid in accordance with labor law
